Personalized support for your postpartum

Postpartum care and support for moms is one of the most important, yet overlooked, areas of treatment.

The postpartum exam is one of my favorite appointments. Moms need varying levels of support at this time and I want to meet you where you’re at and support you with whatever you may need.

Your body will go through many changes while growing and supporting your baby and it is not something that just magically β€œgoes back to normal” at 6 weeks postpartum.

Whether you were with me for prenatal care or you’re a new mom that needs that extra layer of support, I would love to help you and provide guidance for you through postpartum.

Areas assessed and topics discussed during your postpartum examination may include but are not limited to:

  • Labor & birth story

  • Full spine & pelvic examination to assess any restrictions or misalignments

  • Exam of epidural injection site, if applicable

  • Areas of discomfort (ie. pelvic pain, sacroiliac (SI) joint dysfunction, lower back pain, sciatica, pubic symphysis pain or dysfunction (SPD), hip pain, rib pain, neck or upper back pain, headaches, wrists, carpal tunnel, etc)

  • Assessment for core stability & Diastasis Recti (DR) - separation of the abdominal muscles

  • Cesarean (c-section) scar rehab & mobility

  • Baby’s latch - tongue & lip tie assessment, palate shape, tongue & lip mobility, neck tension

  • Targeted rehab exercises & timeline for postpartum recovery

  • Mental health
